From Anti-Valentines bopping with Aidan Moffat (Arab Strap) to electro-popping with Marnie (Ladytron), we’ve thrown some unforgettable nights – especially our iconic birthday parties. Paolo Nutini, Claire from Steps and Joe McFadden were all spotted dancing to Glasgow’s best 80’s wedding group Band Of Gold at our 10th Birthday, then legendary Newsnight host Kirsty Wark took to the decks for our 11th Birthday treat.

We’ve also had Mel Blatt (All Saints), Emmy-Kate & Marie (Kenickie), Prides, Ally McCrae (Radio 1), Kate Jackson (The Long Blondes), Manda Rin (Bis), The Twilight Sad, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Robert Florence (Burnistoun) all spinning tunes over the years. We even had a rare live set from the late great Ari Up (The Slits).

The Pretty Ugly DJs have also graced the decks at TRNSMT, T in the Park, Edinburgh Hogmanay, Summer Nights at Kelvingrove Bandstand, Rewind Festival, The SAY Awards, Scottish BAFTAs, Herald Fashion Awards, Glasgow Film Festival, COP26, Solheim Cup and The Vintage Festival.

We have supported Pet Shop Boys, Sugababes, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, En Vogue, Chvrches, Ladyhawke and Crystal Castles and have played VIP rooms and after shows for Madonna, Beyoncé, Queen, Coldplay, Paolo Nutini, Lewis Capaldi and U2.

We DJ’ed on the red carpet for the T2 Trainspotting World Premiere which was broadcast worldwide on Facebook Live, and also played the after parties for the premieres of How To Build A Girl and My Old School.  We’ve worked with fashion brands from Armani to Topshop and Abandon Ship to Timberland, and for various film productions on their wrap party entertainment from Sunshine On Leith to The Wife to Stonemouth.
